Summary:
1st -She cannot replace
it
2nd-She advises me to repair it
and once I get 2 offers she takes days to answer.
She then answers:"-I find it hard to believe
that someone in Germany can not get these repaired".
3rd-Once I agree to send it back,
she disappears.
Notice that I bought the items on the 16th of November 2006.
I gave her negative feedback on the 14th of February 2007.
All this time she did not do anything about the issue.
To top it she left me a retaliation feedback calling me names
that actually DERSCRIBE HER.
(I guess she was looking herself at the mirror while giving me a
negative feedback).
Do not forget to pay with Paypal!!!

compensation for loss of parcel but not damage to the items.

thanks for the reply.
I live in Munich so if anyone of your friends could give
some advice as to the best where to, I would be thankful. Up
to now, I was able to find a Porcelan Clinic in Berlin but
this is a 7 hour drive from Munich, let alone the lack of
time. (I would not want to send it there as I am afraid of a
possible further damage). My husband just found out one some
craftman half an hour drive away in Neufahrn. We will call
the restaurateur tomorrow and as soon as we will get an
appointment and cost estimate I will let you know.

With all the respect this shows
that I can neither rely nor trust you.
That means that most probably you
knew you were sending something broken.
and of course you were just
waisting my time advising me to repair it because anyways there was no intention
to refund me for the repair.
I do not know how would you feel if somebody would do the same to you
especially during Christmas time, but what goes around comes around. I am sure
that at a point in your life somebody will treat you the same way and at that
point remember how you have before.

Hi Callie, from what I can make of your email
the repair would cost approximately £105 for the one
breakage, as both sconces only cost £130 it seems ridiculous
to pay that amount, I did say that I would help towards the
cost but can not pay for it all as the shipping of any
fragile goods ie ceramic, glass etc is totally beyond my
control, although I am insured for loss of items. I have
spoken to the importer and at the moment he has no more of
these but may be getting some in the New Year, if you would
kindly send the goods back to me then I will give you a full
refund including shipping cost and I'll let you know if

Hi Vicky,I understand your point and I did try to
get sth better as to the offers. Other than the ones who
were kind enough to send me an offer, I also contacted
others that I still have not gotten any response. These
people are indeed expensive since they sell their expertise
to museums or people who are willing to pay the price to see
their favorite porcelain repaired. It was however your idea
to repair it. I asked from the beginning for replacement.
You could have told me from the time of the 2nd offer that
this is too much instead of saying-I find it hard to believe
that someone in Germany can not get these repaired-. and
then ignoring me. I think you would not like it either. An
open communication is always appreciated. The parcel-where
everything is in its original condition and the broken part
separately wrapped in the box-can be with you in 3-4 days
registered. Could you please refund me the 190GBP I paid

below that there is some hole on one of the narrow sides of
the box of the affected sconce which shows that most probably the sconce was
able to move during the shipping; in any way the packaging was not as proper as
we thought in the begining.
This video was taken for the purposes of documenting the process of packing
and the condition of items before they would be shipped back.
As usual the seller ignored us and never answered.
